Kidney Failure & Recovery

In 2013, I discovered that my kidney transplant was failing and that I would require dialysis.

Nevertheless, I continued to work despite the burden of kidney dialysis, which while saving one's life, does take an immense toll on the body.

Sadly, towards the end of 2015, I forgot to renew my license.  It was a mistake, pure and simple.  It was simply because I was sick.  And it is one that I will always regret.

In September of 2016, I notified the Oregon Board of Licensed Professional Counselors & Therapists that I would be taking a leave of absence from work due to my worsening condition.  This alerted them to the fact that I forgot to renew my license.  I received a reprimand and paid the required fine.

However, I am happy to report that I am now once again under the Oregon Board of Professional Counselors & Therapists IN GOOD STANDING.  You may view my status as a Licensed Counselor Intern at:  https://hrlb.oregon.gov/oblpct/licenseelookup/detail.asp?num=135461.

Moreover, I am even happier to report that I received a kidney transplant in August of 2017 and that I am currently in very good health.

I would be happy to answer any further questions about this matter should you wish to inquire further.  Thank you.
